The ingredients needed to make Ketchup Glazed Beef:
- Use 3 tbsp ketchup
- You need 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Take 1 Green chilli
- Get 5-6 garlic cloves
- Use to taste Salt
- Prepare to taste Cracked black pepper
- Take Thumb sized piece of ginger
- Provide 1.5 kg top rump beef joint (approx)
Steps to make Ketchup Glazed Beef:
- Place the beef onto a ovenproof tray. Pat dry with kitchen roll.
- Blitz all the rest of the ingredients in a blender until it forms a smooth paste like mixture.
- Coat the beef evenly with the marinade. Allow to sit in fridge for a minimum of 4 hours but for best flavours allow to sit overnight.
- Turn your oven on to 180c.
- Transfer to the oven and roast the beef until cooked through. I don't know how long it took to cook through as I used a meat thermometer and I really wasn't keeping track of timings for this recipe but I think it took around 60 minutes to 90 minutes to cook through.
- Allow to rest for 10-20 minutes before serving.
