- Provide 1 1/2 lb Pinto Beans (dry) (Soaked and rinsed)
- You need 1 Large Onion (Sliced or Diced)
- Get 1 lb Cubed Ham
- Get 4 tbsp Salted Butter
- Provide 6-10 Chicken Bouillon Cubes (Skip or use less if using Broth)
- Prepare 2 clove Garlic (minced)
- Get 1/4 tsp Dried Ground Thyme (Or 2-3 tsp Thyme Leaves)
- Prepare 1/4 tsp Pepper
- Take 1 tbsp Parsley
- Provide 1 Bay Leaf
- Use 10-12 cup Water And/Or Chicken Broth
