  1. Take 2 pound tri-tip roast, excess fat trimmed
  2. You need 6-8 garlic cloves
  3. Use 1/4 cup olive oil
  4. Prepare 2 1/2 teaspoons salt

  6. Provide 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
