- Provide 200 grams butter,plus extra for greasing
- Use 225 grams dark brown soft sugar
- You need 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Use 25 grams cocoa powder,sifted
- Use 75 grams self-raising flour,sifted
- Take 3 large eggs,beaten
- Prepare 400 grams good quality dark choc(50% cocoa solids)

- Pre heat oven 170 C (150C fan oven) gas mark 3
- Line a 20 cm (8inch) baking tin with parchment paper and grease
- Melt chocolate with butter in a heatproof bowl over à pan of gently simmering water until smooth . Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Mix the sugar, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, flour and eggs. Then pour in melted chocolate and stir.
- Turn the mix into the tin and smooth over with back of spoon. Break up remaining chocolate and sprinkle over top.
