- You need 150 Grams long grain basmati rice
- You need 2-3 Potatoes
- You need 1-2 Carrots
- Take 100 Gram paneer / tofu
- Get 2 Green chillies
- Get 1 Bowl fresh coriander leaves
- Use 3-4 Onions sliced
- Get 2 Bay leaves
- You need as needed black pepper powder
- Use to taste salt
- Get 4 Tablespoon oil
- Use 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
- Provide 1-2 tsp ginger paste / grated ginger
Instructions to make Jadoh veg:
- Firstly wash and soak the rice. And keep aside. Put A big deep vessel on flame, put oil to heat add cumin seeds and sliced onions. Cook on low until golden brown. Meanwhile make A green chilli and coriander leaves rough paste in A mortar.
- Add this paste and cook for 30 seconds. Than put diced potatoes (with skin) and diced carrots. Cook this with covered lid for two minutes.
- Now burn tip of by leaves on flame and immediately put it in the vessel. Then add salt, turmeric, ginger paste, and mix well.
- Now drain excess water from rice and add it. Mix gently and fry the rice for 2 minutes. Than add 3 glasses of water, salt as per taste and black pepper powder. Let it cook on high flame untill the water is completely absorbed.
- Meanwhile saute / shallow fry the paneer cubes in little oil and keep aside.
- Now add the paneer cubes. Mix gently with A fork and cover the lid and keep it on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro / coriander and Serve hot. Please note i hAve used paneer You can use tofu and also add fresh peas or brocolli as per your choice.
